Then, you wouldn’t even have to remove the chip from the socket I’ve been using the pin DIP package. So I’ll make up an adapter so that I don’t have to solder on the chip or the motherboard. I also don’t care about speed. Instead, describe your situation and the specific problem you’re trying to solve. K2, Sorry about the repeated thread hijacking, but I can’t seem to help myself!
Specifically, it should be reasonably priced, reliable, easily available and likely to remain so. Perhaps the limited available time could be used more productively with modern hardware. Not much luck though, any suggestions on who still carries them?
