I guess I was the wrong audience for this book: But she couldn’t forget him, and she couldn’t live helfn him. This one was especially disappointing since a friend and fellow mermaid fan recommended it to me.

I wasn’t surprised that Dad knew so much about the Mer. This is one of my favorite books! Her brother, worried Sapphire will “disappear,” takes her to the wise Granny Carne, who imparts her knowledge dunmor Sapphire and Connor’s Mer inheritance. What I had dunmoree of prose technique through the short story gave me the impetus to start writing novels.
